SYNOPSIS:

This all-day lecture course is designed for general dentists who want to expand their oral surgery experience and better understand and manage dento-alveolar surgical procedures. This comprehensive course will offer you, the general practitioner, an opportunity to better handle your extraction cases, manage complications and know what to avoid.

UPON COMPLETION YOU WILL BE ABLE TO:

  • Perform pre-operative patient evaluation and assess difficult extractions
  • Better manage medically compromised patients
  • Prescribe medications most commonly used for oral surgery
  • Know the latest updates on managing patients on bisphosphonates
  • Apply effective local anesthesia techniques
  • Use instrumentation for atraumatic extraction and dento-alveolar surgery
  • Apply tissue management and flap designs for various surgical procedures
  • Effectively retrieve broken root tips utilizing principles of exodontia
  • Understand the advantages and disadvantages of socket grafting and the relevance of choosing a graft material
  • Manage complications more efficiently
